COVID-19 has brought the South African economy to its knees, and inevitably many South Africans have lost their lives, lost their jobs or agreed to a pay cut.
However, if you are still in a fortunate position to having a job, and is considering buying a new car, please keep in mind the following questions:
1. Do your car comes with an impressive fuel economy? 2. Can you afford making an affordable installment? 3. And of course do your car have a good maintainance plan?
I have compiled a list of three popular car brands, you could consider buying.
It offers a trendiest design, with an aggressive styled front end that expresses an exuberance and flair.
From my impression, it looks like the front seats look very comfy, but it offers little lateral support.
The Aygo cabin space includes electric front windows, height adjustable driver's seat, digital rev counter, nice user friendly and intuitive touchscreen and infotainment systems (incl. Bluetooth, USB and aux-in).
Top speed on the open road for the Aygo is roundabout 160 km/h and measures only 5.2 L/100 km.
The Volkswagen UP resembles the same looks as the VW Concepts I saw back in 2007, based on electric power.
As the UP has proven, the VW will not disappoint when it comes to compact, reliable and good quality.
Comparing the UP with the Aygo, in terms of interior looks and space, the UP has very simple, comfortable and neat space, with moderate legroom and boot space.
The specs looks just as impressive as the Aygo.
Volkswagen has gone back to the heydays of the iconic Golf I Citi Golf, sporting with various body styles, colour and extra options, that includes the Cross Up Cross over.
Lists of Model Range: 1.2 Mid / 1.2 Five / 1.2 Lux / 1.2 Auto
Engine: 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder.
Body style: 4 door.
Top speed: 161 km/h.
Fuel consumption: 5.2 litres on average.
Price Ranges: R 177,200 - R 205,200.
THE FINAL VERDICT.
If I put any doubt's aside, the Datsun Go would've been my first pick, when making a choice in space & affordability.
The Toyota Aygo's trendsetting looks and performance do appeal to my needs, but the Volkswagen UP has trickled my imagination of the good heydays of the Citi Golf.
The affordability of both the Toyota and VW is a bit pricey, with all the bell's and whistles it comes with.
However, if are a loyal VW supporter, like I am, I would definitely consider buying the UP.
However, when considering other personal factors, like having a limited household budget, my definite choice would firmly rest on the door of the Datsun GO!
